Products & Treatments for Eye Wrinkles.
Treating and preventing wrinkles around the eye area is a common concern for so many people. This totally makes sense because the skin surrounding our eyes is thinner, more delicate, and endures wear and tear from expressions. These factors plus other ones like UV damage cause the eye area to visibly age more quickly than other areas of our face. I gathered all my best tips and product recommendations for treating the eye area. Hope you enjoy!
scrub me secret: I attended esthetics school when I was 19 years old, this led to me beginning to use eye cream consistently starting at a young age. because of this, I was lucky enough to preserve my eye area and prevent fine lines and wrinkles. I still consistently use eye cream to keep up these results. And don’t fret if you’re starting your eye care journey a little later in life, there are products and treatments to help minimize and fade crow’s feet and other signs of aging. it’s never too early or late to get started!

My favorite eye cream - PCA ideal eye cream
So I’ll admit I’m sure I’m a little biased about this eye cream because PCA has been my go-to for serums and eye cream for many years. But there is a reason for that! What I look for in a product like an eye cream or antiaging serum are ingredients that are really effective and cater to the health of our skin/body without causing any damage. Many PCA products, including this eye cream, are just that, formulated with great clinical ingredients that deliver results.
Why it works: Peptides in this cream help to reduce fine lines and plump the skin while other ingredients like niacinamide, a bark extract, and orange stem cells work to reduce puffiness and strengthen the structure of our delicate eye skin. These majorly effective ingredients paired with normal moisturizing eye care ingredients like grape seed oil and shea butter check off all the boxes of what the eye area needs.
Your results: Consistent use of eye cream is key for seeing results. This one works best if used in both AM and PM. After about 14 days of consistent use many start to see a diminishing of fine lines, darkness, and some smoothing around the eye area. After more time of AM and PM application, more results will follow! It’s also an amazing eye cream for preventing lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. Our collagen and elastin start to deplete in our early 20’s so it’s ideal to start using an eye cream before then.
scrub me secret: the best way to apply eye cream is to put a small amount of product on the tip of each of your ring fingers and gently pat or dab it onto the under area of the eye and upper lid/brow bone. pat with very light pressure until the cream fully absorbs into the skin. our eye area is a small area and we want the product to fully absorb so a small amount of product is all you need.
Eye cream for dark circles - Dr. Goldfaden bright eyes
Dr. Goldfaden is another favorite skincare line of mine. I’ve recommended this eye cream to many of my clients whose main concerns are darkness underneath or around the eye area. I also really like the moisturizers from this line and list my favorite one in my blog post “5 skincare products to splurge on.”
Why it works: Arnica tincture works wonders for fading and minimizing darkness underneath the eyes. Arnica is known to be a really helpful product for treating dark-colored bruises so this definitely makes sense! This arnica tincture paired with firming and hydrating ingredients like soy peptides and hyaluronic acid makes up the perfect combo for treating dark circles.
Your results: Best results are seen with AM and PM use on a consistent daily basis. This eye cream is great because it makes your eye area look more radiant upon application. Over time, you can see a diminishing of darkness under and around the eyes as well as smoother-looking skin.
scrub me secret: I always ask my clients who struggle with dark circles underneath their eyes if they have any known allergies. I’ve found that outdoor pollens, environmental allergens, and indoor allergens like dust, pet dander, etc can oftentimes be contributing to these dark circles. When I was younger I struggles with dark circles underneath my eyes. I took an allergy test and found out I was allergic to feathers. After changing out my pillows and comforter my under-eye circles got better within a few months.
Eye gels for firming - Pure Sol collagen and hyaluronic acid hydrogel
Why it works: Firming plant collagen, hydration binding hyaluronic acid, and wrinkle-reducing Co-Q 10 are a powerhouse combo of ingredients that make these eye gels super effective! And if you keep them chilly in the refrigerator you’ll get even more of a firming result from the tightening effect we get from the coolness. These also have vitamin C and other antioxidants so your delicate eye area can stay protected and firm all day.
Your results: Bright and firm looking under eyes after 15-20 minutes of masking. I like to wash my face, apply my serums, put on my eye gels, and let them sit for 20 minutes. Then I take them off and apply my moisturizers and SPF. Feel bright and awake looking!
scrub me secret: for extra depuffing and a more awake and radiant-looking eye area, take a cool facial roller and roll in outward motions 6-8x underneath each eye after taking off your eye masks. the skinny confidential hot mess ice roller is my favorite.
4 Non-invasive treatments for eye wrinkles & anti-aging.
Over my 11 years working as an esthetician these are treatments I’ve personally found to be really effective for treating the eye area. All of these treatments I have performed on countless clients and offer each one in scrub me skin care studio.
Microcurrent:
Microcurrent treatments are where your esthetician uses a device that delivers a current that travels deep into your skin layers to stimulate and lift tissues. A microcurrent treatment help to provide a visible reduction in fine lines immediately and then provides more smoothing and lifting with more treatments.
If you have ever used a Nuface device you have experienced microcurrent! A Nuface is an at-home device that you can purchase to treat fine lines at home with microcurrent.
Red LED:
One of my favorite treatments to anti-age! Red LED stimulates collagen and elastin cells to help maintain and build the skin’s firm texture and plumpness. I like to add 10-15 minutes of red LED into my anti-aging facial treatments. Each time your skin experiences red LED it receives benefits so to have a treatment once a week would be ideal, but monthly treatments are also really effective for treating crow’s feet and other wrinkles.
Facial massage (gua sha):
Another one of my favorite treatments! If you know me you know facial massage is my answer to almost every skincare concern 🤣. We can specifically treat wrinkles around the eye area with the comb edge of a gua sha stone. Using facial oil and light friction movements around the eye area I am able to iron out and smooth wrinkles and fine lines. Results build with time and consistency of gua sha massage.
You can also use a textured facial roller to gently massage and stimulate the skin around your eye area to erase fine lines. I talk about this item and some other tools I like in my blog post “Easy to use facial tools”
Gentle microdermabrasion:
Even though microdermabrasion is a little abrasive for our delicate eye area there is a way that it can be used to really help treat and fade away wrinkles around the eyes. A microdermabrasion treatment works by combining suction and deep exfoliation to promote circulation, soften the skin, and stimulate collagen and elastin. When light suction and a fine-tipped microderm is used by a skilled esthetician or dermatologist it’s really great for helping anti-age underneath and around the eyes.
Now let’s get started on your eye anti-aging journey!✨
