Facial contour massage using gua sha:

facial gua sha contour movements I learned during my Green Beauty Academy training.

Natural facial contour steps-

  1. Gua sha neck/jaw contour - Scoop up the neck and ever so slightly over the jaw bone using the comb edge of the gua sha stone. Work in sections across the neck doing this motion 3-6x on each section.

  2. Gua sha jaw contour - Take the “U” part of the gua sha stone and glide it UNDER the jaw outwards towards your ear. Apply firm pressure. 3-6x on each side.

  3. Gua sha jaw contour (2) - Take the “U” edge again and put it ON your jaw bone and glide across the jaw towards the outer edge of the face. 3-6x on each side.

  4. Gua sha cheek lift/firm - Use the comb edge of the stone to massage up your cheek, lifting your face. This movement also firms your face. 3-6x on each side.

  5. Cheek sculpt with hands - Using your thumb, deeply massage and glide underneath your cheekbone. Apply firm pressure during this. 2-3x on each side.

  6. Gua sha cheek contour - Using the “U” edge of your stone glide along the apple of your cheek, lifting slightly upwards as you glide out. Start at the most inner part of your face and glide out along your cheek. 3-6x on each side.

  7. Gua sha brow lift - Use the “U” edge once more, glide along your natural brow bone, and lift upwards at the end of the eye. Think of a “cat-eye” motion. 3-6x on each brow.

You’re done! This routine can be done a few times a week. Or choose a couple of movements you like that you can add to your daily skincare routine.
