How a Facial Roller / Textured Roller Can Benefit Your Skin ➡️ Instructional Video Included
Are you into face massage, and thinking about incorporating it into your at-home skincare routine but find that gua sha and/or other face massage methods are just not clicking for you? That’s totally okay! I’ve got another option for you, facial rollers. I find myself recommending facial rollers, both textured and smooth to my clients who want to incorporate face massage into their home care but want something that’s easy and not time-consuming at all. While gua sha face massage is obviously my favorite way to massage my face and all your faces I know that everyone is different, and facial rollers can provide really amazing results when used correctly. That is why I wrote this blog for you✨
Benefits of using a stone facial roller:
Helps move & drain lymph fluid that causes puffiness, helping to reduce it
Promotes circulation & lymph detoxification so skin will look clearer over time
Helps reduce tension in facial muscles
scrub me secret: You can chill your facial roller by placing it in a bowl of ice water or in the freezer (on a clean dish). A chilled facial roller helps to decrease visible redness and constrict pore size. You also have the option to warm up your facial roller by soaking it in a bowl of hot water; you can use the warm stone roller to create more circulation for a radiant glow or relieve muscle tension.
Blog: The Perks of Using Warm and Cold Tools on the Skin
Stone rollers that I recommend:
(great for beginners or as your first facial tool)
(chills really quickly if want to use it in that way. stainless steel is also easier to sanitize)
(a high-quality jade roller that’s esthetically pleasing!)
Benefits of using a textured facial roller:
Helps reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Promotes circulation and oxygen flow in the skin, giving a healthy and radiant glow
Helps to lift the skin tissues, reducing the appearance of sagging
scrub me secret: A textured facial roller is NOT the same as a derma roller. A derma roller is a roller that contains short needles that are used to create microchannels in the skin. Derma rollers are not safe to use at home; while they do provide benefits for skin renewal it’s unsanitary and unsafe to use these tools at home and can end up causing damage or breakouts.
Textured rollers that I recommend:
Cecily Braden textured roller PLUS a smooth roller attachment
(A combo of both textured and smooth, so great!)
Sodalite blue stone textured roller
(Sodalite blue is said to have immune-boosting properties. This roller also looks and feels very high end)
(This one is best for those who have goals of diminishing deep lines and wrinkles)
Face massage is definitely my favorite way to treat the skin. It’s so amazing that we can prevent aging, reduce wrinkles, provide skin clarity, de-puff, and contour the face all while providing the skin with wellness benefits. The circulation, oxygen flow, and toxin release that face massage provides truly has health benefits for our largest organ..our skin 😉
