Multipurpose beauty balms are luxurious, nourishing salves that treat skin, hair, and nails in several different ways. We wanted a beauty balm that had ALL the perks. Not only did we want something that softened and protected dry patches but also a balm that helped repair and grow brows and lashes. Speaking of brows and lashes, we also wanted a product that could tame stray hairs making everything lay nice and uniform. So we decided to formulate our very own multipurpose balm!

scrub me secret: another benefit of our multipurpose balm? you can use this non-pore clogging formula to add a little sheen to eyelids cheekbones, or wherever else you desire. Just dab your finger into the balm and apply a small amount to skin.

The ingredients list:

extra virgin olive oil -

This oil is one of the ingredients that adds to our balm’s ultra-luxurious texture. Olive oil is low on the comedogenic scale, meaning you won’t have to worry about it clogging pores, apply away! Extra virgin olive oil is rich in antioxidants and omegas that will keep skin and hair strong and resilient.

Just the right blend of ingredients created the texture we desired.

pumpkin seed oil -

Pumpkin seed oil is known to help promote the growth of hair, so you know we wanted to incorporate this into our recipe! This ingredient is in our balm to repair and grow lashes and brows. Combing the balm into lashes & brows daily will give you the best results.

candelilla wax -

This plant-based wax gives our balm just the right, firm texture. Adding this wax added to our multipurpose balm is what helps it tame stray brow hairs or lashes and helps the balm apply more smoothly.

scrub me secret: having candelilla wax in this balm also makes it a great beard balm product. this plant wax can help beard hair lay more uniform and flat while still keeping it soft. beards will also benefit from the nourishing benefits of the oils in this balm.

castor oil -

Castor oil is another non-pore clogging oil that has a few benefits for skin and hair. Like pumpkin seed oil, castor oil is also known to help with the strengthening and growth of hair. This oil also works to soften and repair skin, making it perfect for treating dry patches.

The best ways to use your multipurpose balm:

Tame, repair, and grow brows, lashes or beards -

Use a small lash brush (spoolie) to easily comb balm into your brows and lashes.

Use a spoolie or a small brush/comb to scoop up a small amount of balm and comb into brows or lashes. We like to use a VERY small amount for brows so its just enough to coat the hairs and keep them in place without making them look too oily. If you’re using this balm as a lash conditioner we suggest using a more liberal amount to make sure lashes are completely coated.

scrub me secret: we added a lash conditioning to our PM skincare routine. Every evening after we cleanse, tone, apply serums & oils, we also comb this balm into our lashes. we’re working towards long, strong, luscious lashes!

To use this multipurpose balm as a beard balm just scoop up a pea-sized amount and apply it to your beard with your hands. A little goes a long way to keep hairs in place and soften them.

Treat super dry, cracked skin -

Keep hands and nails super soft with this balm!

Apply this balm anywhere your skin is feeling dry and cracked. This balm will immediately help soften the skin while creating a protective layer. Nutrients and moisture will be locked in so skin can start to repair itself. Keep using as needed until the skin has returned to a healthy state. Places we like to use this multipurpose balm are elbows, hands, feet, and lips.

Soften cuticles and repair nails -

Our cuticle beds are responsible for protecting our nails, most importantly the new part of the nail located at the base. Treating cuticles with this balm can help deliver repairing nutrient benefits from the oils to your nail bed. Apply a light layer of balm to each cuticle and let it sink in.

scrub me secret: even when cuticles are dry and peeling it’s always best not to cut them. cutting or picking at cuticles can cause further damage or even an infection. softening them with a balm or moisturizer and gently pushing them back is much better for your overall cuticle health.

Add a healthy glow to skin -

Add a little balm to skin to give yourself a healthy glow.

Beauty balms are great for adding a little natural, luminous glow. We like to add a small dot of balm to our eyelids for a little highlight; we’ve also seen people apply balm to cheekbones. You can play around with adding this to your makeup or getting ready routine and see what looks best to you. The best part is that the oils we use are non-comedogenic so you won’t have to worry about the balm clogging pores.
