At home mask recipe to enhance ANY skin type.

This is a mask recipe you can mix up at home using ingredients found in your kitchen! Honey, banana, and oats work together to heal, hydrate and soothe skin. This mask will help even skin tone, soothe redness, soften, and firm. Before we get to the recipe let me tell you a little about why I chose these 3 ingredients.

  • Honey: Honey is amazing for healing wounds, this means it’s great for targeting areas that are healing after a blemish or picking at the skin. I use manuka honey in this recipe for its extra antibacterial and skin-repairing properties.

  • Banana: Banana contains potassium plus other vitamins and nutrients that moisturize, soften, and hydrate skin making it feel super soft!

  • Oats: Oats are one of my favorite ingredients for soothing skin. I love including ground oats into skin treatment masks because of the effect they have when targeting redness. When ground into a fine powder and used in a face mask oats help take away redness almost immediately.

scrub me secret: To get the best benefits from this mask use it when it’s made fresh. If needed you can refrigerate this mask for a couple of hours after mixing it up. These ingredients are perishable and should not be left out to use later or the following day.

Dissolve honey in water:

In a separate dish put honey and water. I used manuka honey so it’s a bit thicker than normal honey will look.
