scrub me has the stuff for the softest lips!

I always get asked the question, what’s a lip balm that actually works? Luckily, I have the recipe for the best, most effective lip balm and lip scrub. I started making lip balm around 2014 and the lip polish, lip scrub product was born soon after. Over the years these lip balms have been some of my most popular items and have many repeat customers (THATS how you know they work). Myself and my family members have been using these products for so long and I honestly can’t remember the last time I went more than 48 hours with dry feeling or cracked lips. These lip products are truly the most effective ones I’ve used as an esthetician and that’s why I keep making them.

scrub me secret: sometimes factors like extreme cold weather or a lot of sun exposure can damage the skin on our lips and cause them to get dry and flaky. Also, sometimes illness can cause our bodies to become dehydrated or nutrient deficient, also leading to dry, cracked lips. These factors can at times be hard to control so it’s inevitable that there will be a few days a year that our lips feel super dry or sensitive, even if you are using the best products. At times like this just apply balm a little more often and wait for them to heal!

butter balm, lip balm

This lip balm is a thoughtful combination of shea butter, coconut oil, candelilla wax, & spearmint essential oil. I believe this balm works so well because it is so minimal and rich in moisture-binding shea butter. The small amount of added coconut oil and candelilla wax aid in helping the shea butter sink deeply into your lips, and provides your lips with a smooth/glossy feel!

Use this butter balm, lip balm daily for moisturized lips that actually stay soft, well after your balm sinks.

lip polish

I love telling the story behind the lip polish. I originally set out to make a pink-tinted version of the butter balm, this was probably back in 2015. Since I only use plant-based ingredients for my scrub me products and I like to choose ingredients with a purpose for our skin I had my sights set on antioxidant-rich crushed rosehip. I melted and mixed up a batch of lip balms and added the crushed rosehip. It did make the balms a pretty pink color but something didn’t go as planned…the balms had a slightly grainy, exfoliating texture to them. I kind of loved it! After using the balm/exfoliant on myself for a few weeks and having my family members try it I found that you could apply the product, scrub your lips gently with the rosehip granules, and after a few minutes of rubbing the product in the texture just kind of dissolves. The “kiss me” lip polish was born! A moisturizing lip product that treated flaky skin as well.

Use this product once a day (or more if you want) to gently exfoliate and moisturize lips to make them softer. No need to be in front of a mirror or over the sink when using this product. Just apply and rub your lips together.

scrub me secret: during each facial at scrub me skin care studio I use the lip polish near the beginning of the treatment and the butter balm or multipurpose balm at the end of the facial. This is a small added touch that makes such a lovely difference. Then you get skincare for your face, eyes, and lips 🧡

multipurpose balm

The multipurpose balm is for so much more than just lips (lashes, brows, cuticles, etc.) but today I’m going to focus on how it can help your lips stay smooth, soft, and healthy. This enriched balm has a blend of vitamin, mineral, and nutrient-rich oils that have healing and skin strengthening benefits so it provides your lips with optimal skin health benefits. Extra virgin olive oil, pumpkin seed, and castor oil can help heal small cuts or cracks and protect your delicate skin. It really works wonders!

Use this balm on your lips as often as you please. After a few days of use, you’ll notice healing of any cracks in your lips, softening of skin, and healthier feeling skin.

scrub me secret: So many different factors play into what make our lips dry and/or flaky. In my blog post “Let’s talk lips” I go over this in detail. Enjoy!
