My go-to product for travel ✈️

Multipurpose beauty balms are luxurious, nourishing salves that treat skin, hair, and nails in several different ways. When I’m traveling I like to bring products that are multi-use so I don’t have to pack too many items. So you know having my multipurpose balm is a MUST. This balm is something that softens and protects dry patches and also helps nourish and grow brows and lashes. I get really creative with skincare and beauty items when I travel and I’ve found quite a few ways I like to use the multipurpose balm.

scrub me secret: when I created this balm I knew that I was going to be combing it into my brow and lashes as well as using it for areas like my lips, hands, and nails. I used extra virgin olive oil for healing the skin and added pumpkin seed and castor oil for lash/brow growth properties.

The ingredients list:

extra virgin olive oil -

This oil is one of the ingredients that adds to this balm’s ultra-luxurious texture. Olive oil is low on the comedogenic scale, meaning you won’t have to worry about it clogging pores, apply away! Extra virgin olive oil is rich in antioxidants and omegas that will keep skin and hair strong and resilient.

Just the right blend of ingredients created the texture we desired.

pumpkin seed oil -

Pumpkin seed oil is known to help promote the growth of hair, so you know I wanted to incorporate this into the recipe! This ingredient is in this balm to repair and grow lashes and brows. Combing the balm into lashes & brows daily will give you the best results.

candelilla wax -

This plant-based wax gives this balm just the right, firm texture. Adding this wax added to the multipurpose balm is what helps it tame stray brow hairs or lashes and helps the balm apply more smoothly.

scrub me secret: having candelilla wax in this balm also makes it a great beard balm product. this plant wax can help beard hair lay more uniform and flat while still keeping it soft. beards will also benefit from the nourishing benefits of the oils in this balm.

castor oil -

Castor oil is another non-pore clogging oil that has a few benefits for skin and hair. Like pumpkin seed oil, castor oil is also known to help with the strengthening and growth of hair. This oil also works to soften and repair skin, making it perfect for treating dry patches.

Ways I like to use the multipurpose balm during travel:

Keep my lips from getting dry and cracked.

I find that when I travel it’s essential to have some sort of lip balm on me at all times. The multipurpose balm is the best for keeping my lips soft and supple. You can apply the balm to your lips if your hands or clean or you can use a little applicator.

Combing it into my brows and lashes.

When I’m on a long flight or car ride I don’t love to wear mascara because I feel like it’s bound to smudge at some point. Plus I really like the idea of coating my lashes with something that improves the hair health vs. damaging mascara. This is why I use a spoolie to comb multipurpose balm into my lashes before and during travel. I also like to comb this balm into my brows so it helps improve brow hair growth and it helps them lay nice and even.

I really like the natural beauty look of this balm combed into the brows and curled eyelashes.

scrub me secret: I like to make lash conditioning a part of my PM skincare routine. Every evening after I cleanse, tone, and apply serums & oils, I also comb this balm into my lashes.

Tame flyaways when my hair is put up.

I always remember the right skincare items but end up forgetting any kind of product for my hair🤦‍♀️. Luckily the multipurpose balm has a good amount of candelilla wax in it which is really helpful for taming flyaways or little frizzy hairs that pop out when I put my hair up in a bun or ponytail. I apply a little bit of balm to the areas I want to tame and then comb it in.

Keep my cuticles and nails soft and healthy.

I find that it’s really nice to have something to apply to your nails, cuticles, and dry areas of your hands on hand at all times. Nourishing my nails and cuticles with this balm helps me from picking at anything and it keeps my hands looking healthy, smooth, and soft.

scrub me secret: even when cuticles are dry and peeling it’s always best not to cut them. cutting or picking at cuticles can cause further damage or even an infection. softening them with a balm or moisturizer and gently pushing them back is much better for your overall cuticle health.

Add some highlight to my cheekbones and eyelids.

I like to use a little bit of this balm on my cheekbones and eyelids to give some highlight/glow. It’s a great tip for beach or warm weather vacations where you don’t really want to be wearing makeup. It’s nice for giving you an overall refreshed glowy look.

scrub me secret: want one final skincare travel tip? I absolutely cannot live without a hydrosol or hydrating mist when I travel anywhere. It revives the skin after a flight or long car ride.
