Easy to use facial tools.
I often get asked by my clients if there is a certain facial treatment mask that I suggest they purchase to use for their at-home skincare routine. My answer is most often this; while I do love a good hydrating, calming, or skin purifying mask, what I think is a better choice to add to your skincare routine is a facial tool. Facial massage tools and other facial treatment tools like micro-current and LED light therapy give you a wider range of results and help improve/treat your skin better than a treatment mask.
scrub me secret: this idea that I have that facial tools and massage modalities are better for real, long-lasting, visible results and skin health was even further confirmed during my recent education course taken with Cecily Braden. Cecily is an expert on gua sha, lymphatic drainage, and Thai herbal massage. She believes (and has seen it with many of her clients) that facial treatment massage can provide far better results than any product can.
Gua sha stones are really popular right now and are probably what come to mind when I mention facial tools. As a trained professional, I LOVE using gua sha stones in my treatment room to transform faces and improve everyone’s skin. However, gua sha stones can have a bit of a learning curve for at-home personal use, especially if you’re looking for the same results that you would get from a trained gua sha technician. I find that sometimes my peers or clients will purchase a stone with the intent to use it often and then get a little frustrated with the learning curve and end up putting the gua sha in a drawer and not revisiting it.

scrub me secrets: don’t stop your routine or the use of your facial tool even after you’ve gotten the results you desire. Things like lifestyle, environment, and repetitive facial movements are always fighting against us on our road to the best looking skin ever. We need to keep up with our skincare to prevent these factors from effecting our faces.
scrub me secret: facial stones, rollers, and the cool roller should be sanitized after each use. I find that a scrub me soap bar works great! Or you can wipe it off with 99% isopropyl alcohol.
