If you haven't already noticed, scrub me™ loves bar soap! We make our soaps with rich oils and plant-based ingredients that help skin be at its healthiest. There are lots of options out on the market and unless you're a skincare expert it's hard to tell what's best for you. Not all soaps are created equal. Sometimes bar soap gets a bad rap. Some commercial soaps can unbalance and sensitize the skin, aggravating its condition. So when we say we love bar soap, we mean we love creating deluxe soaps that help the skin to be in optimal condition.
scrub me secret: when a new bar soap recipe is created we have to make sure we get the ratios of the oils just right! The texture of the soap and properties like cleansing, conditioning, sudsy-ness, and creaminess depends on the amount of each plant-based oil we use and which specific oils we choose for the recipe.
How is it that so many commercial bar soaps lack moisturizing properties? Companies extract the glycerin that naturally occurs during the soap-making process. The glycerin is then used in other products they produce like lotions and facial cleansers. This is why our skin craves moisture and nourishment after using some soaps. Lacking glycerin and moisturizing properties is just one reason commercial companies are giving all bar soaps a bad reputation. Added chemical preservatives, detergents, and fragrance oils are all factors that unbalance the skin, trigger allergies or eczema, and damage the body. scrub me secret: detergents used in commercial soap bars clean and sanitize by completely breaking down everything on the skin. this results in healthy oils being stripped from the surface and damage caused to the barrier. the body can also absorb carcinogens from certain chemicals into the bloodstream, causing possible issues in the future.
Buying small batched, plant-based bar soaps that contain essential oils vs fragrance oils, plus skin-loving oils is better for your overall health and skin health. If you've been turned off of bar soap before, we guarantee this change will get you back on board.
scrub me secret: soap savers are an excellent invention! they are small disks or dishes that are breathable or have drainage so you can set your wet soap bar on them and it can easily dry. we recommend that everyone has at least one. It really upgrades your bar soap experience!

Seasonal soap - currently, reinvigorating
We transition to a new seasonal soap 3-4 times a year. These soaps are made to benefit your skin depending on the season. Currently, our fall/winter ‘reinvigorating’ soap has an essential oil blend that will remind you of fresh, crisp air! Spearmint, rosemary, and tea tree essential oils with the addition of sea clay have really great deep cleansing properties for our skin. Spinach powder and omega/vitamin-rich oils in this bar provide strengthening benefits for the skin as well. Enjoy this fresh, clean cleanse!

Wellness energy soap
The wellness energy soap uses broccoli seeds to exfoliate and massage skin while cleansing. This helps soften skin and promote firmness. An antioxidant-rich wellness tea is infused into the oils in this soap to add anti-aging properties.
Great for dry skin, aging skin, or oily skin types.
Detoxifying soap
The detoxifying soap deeply cleans skin using a blend of activated charcoal, clove essential oil, and orange essential oil. Activated charcoal absorbs dirt and debris while clove essential acts as an astringent for breakouts. Orange essential oil adds further cleansing and toning properties.
Best for acneic skin, oily skin, congested skin, and keratosis pilaris.
scrub me secret: “man soaps” were scrub me’s first line of exfoliating soaps. these bars provide a 2 in 1 cleansing and exfoliating which is popular with men. however, as the years have gone on the “man soaps” have become popular amongst all different people. The fennel bar is specifically popular among women.
Fennel “man soap”
This cleansing and exfoliating body soap uses ground coffee as an exfoliant. Coffee contains caffeine that helps firm skin and leaves the surface radiant. Fennel essential oil continues the radiance benefits by evening overall tone.
Great for all skin types except those with active breakouts.
Cedarwood & grapefruit “man soap”
This exfoliating and cleansing man soap targets skin with redness, congestion, and small breakouts. Loofah gently exfoliates the skin while this cedarwood and grapefruit essential oil-infused soap soothes skin and treats oiliness and smaller breakouts.
Best for oily, sensitive, and breakout-prone skin.
Patchouli “man soap”
Patchouli man soap uses poppy seeds to scrub skin while cleansing. This bar specifically works on smoothing and brightening the skin. Densely packed patchouli seeds deeply exfoliate the skin to soften and stimulate a lot of oxygen and blood flow. Patchouli and orange essential oils also contribute brightening benefits while cleansing.

Felted soap
This unique soap is your own personal loofah! Our handmade, plant-based soap is wrapped and felted in wool that is sourced from lovely Kramer Farms in PA. Just add water to your felted soap and begin to scrub; your soap will get super sudsy and provide you with an excellent exfoliation. After use, place your soap in a dry place and the wool will dry and shrink around your soap. This is important in preserving the life of your soap and keeping bacteria away. This soap will last a bit longer than typical bar soap. Each design is unique!

Body shaving soap
Shaving soaps have a different formulation of oils plus added bentonite clay to give you an amazingly rich, conditioning suds. Wash up with this bar and use the extra creamy suds to aid in shaving. This bar also contains lime and litsea essential oils that provide skin toning/brightening benefits.
Great for all skin types.
Facial shaving soap
This shaving soap is great for cleansing your face and using the rich and creamy suds for your facial shaving needs. Lavender and cedarwood essential oils provide soothing properties and arnica oil adds healing benefits. Use with a facial shaving brush for the best shaving suds!

Toning treatment bar, face/body
Treatment bars are soaps we have specialty made with more nourishing & non-pore clogging oils and packed them with extra skin-loving plant-based ingredients. The toning bar acts as a facial cleanser and skin balancing toner. Lime essentials oil acts as an astringent while cucumber extract balances and firms the face.
Great for normal/dry and normal/oily skin types.
Balancing treatment bar, face/body
This face and body cleanser is amazing for sensitive skin, rosacea, and eczema. Nutrient rich and conditioning oils make this bar a gentle but effective cleanser. Soothing oats and kaloin clay treat redness and irritated skin. This bar contains no essential oils.

Clarifying treatment bar, face/body
This treatment bar helps control breakout-prone and acneic skin. A gentle and astringent cleanse using lemongrass cleans skin without stripping all the oils and sensitizing it. Healing calendula flowers help speed up the healing process of blemishes.
